An Osun State magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has on Wednesday ordered the remand of a 60-year-old man, Kasali Buremon for allegedlly defrauding one Mrs Adefolaju Mary Ajani of N1,020,000 .

The prosecutor. Inspector Oladiran Ayodele told the court that the defendant committed the offence on August 12 ,2014 at Osogbo.
Ayodele explained that the defendant fraudulently obtained the total sum of N1,020,000 from Mrs Adefolaju Mary Ajani with pretence of selling her two acres and two plots of land which was false.
He explained further that the accused converted the money into his own use.
According to the prosecutor the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 1(1) section 1(3) and section 390 (9) of the advance fee fraud and other fraud related offences 2006 laws of the Federation of Nigeria.
The plea of the defendant was not taken by the court due to the nature of the offence committed and he was represented by Barrister Dada Adeyinka.
The magistrate while ruling ordered that the accused person be remanded in Ilesha prison custody.
