Shimitte: Police Begin Probe To Unravel Mystery Behind Oborevwori Adviser’s Death
Following the sudden death of Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Trade and Export, Mrs Shimitte Love, the Delta State Police Command has begun investigation into circumstances behind her death.
OSUN DEFENDER reported that Shimitte was confirmed dead. Though the circumstances leading to her death are hazy, there are fingers pointing to her husband, Pastor Love, as being behind Shimitte’s death.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed Shimitte’s death, adding that she was confirmed dead at a hospital she was taken to.
He said her husband was not arrested but taken into protective custody.
The police spokesperson said an autopsy is to be conducted to ascertain what led to Shimitte’s demise.
“The husband was the one who called to say that his wife died early this morning, that he is receiving threats from the wife’s family and that there is fear that they want to attack him.
“It was based on that ground that we went to his house and got him out.
“However, the family came this morning to lodge an official complaint against the husband that they suspect that it was the husband that killed her. So, on that ground, we are still investigating.
“In cases like this, it is only an autopsy that will determine whether it was natural or if there was something else.”
