Six Dead In Imesi Ile Road Accident

Six people have been reported dead in a fatal road accident that occurred in the Imesi Ile Area of Osun State on Saturday.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun Command, Agnes Ogungbemi, a copy obtained by OSUN DEFENDER on Saturday, noted that 17 people were involved in the accident with 11 not sustaining any injury.

Ogungbemi stated that the accident involved a Red coloured DAF Trailer and a blue-coloured Mark trailer.

The PRO attributed the accident to a brake failure and loss of control.

She said the Five dead victims were taken to UniOsun Teaching Hospital Osogbo by officers of the Nigeria Police Force in Imesi Ile before the arrival of the FRSC team while a male victim who was trapped under the truck was removed with an extricating machine.

She added that the victim’s properties were taken by the police to their station.
