Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 20-year-old self-acclaimed spiritualist, Emmanuel Ebeagbor, Aka Dr Walock, who specialised in defrauding women.
He was arrested at Uromi, by operatives of the Intelligent Rapid Response Squad.
The suspect was said to have duped women while pretending that he had solutions to their spiritual problems
The suspect, according to the State Commissioner of Police, CP, Funsho Adegboye, was arrested during an investigation into a case of cyberstalking reported at the station.
Adegboye said the suspect requested the sum of N240,000 from a lady to help solve her spiritual problem.
After transferring the money to the suspect’s bank account, he (the suspect) also demanded the nude video of the lady.
According to the CP, the suspect asked the woman to record the nude video when she is taking her bath, for spiritual cleansing and promised to delete it after use.
“She did as he instructed and two weeks later, the suspect demanded for the sum of N400,000 and threatened to post her nude video on the internet,” he said.
The CP said during investigation, the complainant’s nude video and those of other ladies who were the suspect’s victims, were found in his phone.
He said the suspect will soon be charged to court.
Speaking with newsmen, the suspect said he introduced himself to the woman as a spiritualist, and promised to help her.
He said he had lost count of his victims as they are numerous.
