Stakeholders of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus resolved on Monday to show more commitment and resolve to achieving the common goal of the caucus.
They were also urged not to relent in mobilisation and educating members of the caucus on its ethos of virtue, discipline, and the progressive ideology of social emancipation.
These and more formed the core of remarks at the Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan federal constituency tour of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, Osun, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji.
Addressing members of the caucus, Alhaji Adesiji harped on the need for them to be resolute in the resolve of the movement to reclaim the state in 2026.
He called for intra-party discipline, as it is key to achieving the mission of the group, while also calling for robust collaboration within the caucus to achieve success.
The Chairman of the Progressive Caucus also informed members of the upcoming membership registration, which will further cement the activities of Omoluabi Progressives across the state. He pointed out that the adoption of Omoluabi as the name and basis of our operation was not by default, as it was a return to the old time of Obafemi Awolowo, who established progressive politics.
Adesiji added that “I want to urge us all to be steadfast, resolute and be committed to the ideology of the Omoluabi Progressives. We cannot afford to return to what we faced in the past.
“We should all return to our wards, units and localities to preach the gospel of the Omoluabi Progressives. We are Omoluabis with an identity of focus, hardwork, dedication, commitment and solid belief in creating a wave of impactful leadership and prosperity for our dear state when we reclaim the state.
“We should mobilise and be ready to contribute financially and morally to the success of our movement. The good thing is that the people are with us and believe so much in us. We must remember to work with the fear of God. I am assuring you that this leadership under my watch is ready to listen to your complaints, suggestions and advice for the progress of the caucus.”
The Chairman, Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, urged members to promote the legacies of the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola administration in Osun (2010–2018), as it is the pivot on which the caucus is hinging its workings to reclaim the state in 2026.
Earlier, the leadership of the caucus had visited the Akire-in-Council, where the Akire, Oba Olatunde Falabi Lambeloye III, heaped praise on the impact of the Aregbesola administration in Osun.
Oba Falabi prayed for the success of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, urging its members to remain resolute and dedicated to their mission.
The leadership of the caucus had earlier met Alhaja Samurat Kudus of Ward 8, Isokan Local Government, and a former Special Adviser to Ogbeni Aregbesola, as well as the Woman Leader of Isokan Local Government. The stakeholders promised to increase mobilisation and encouraged partymen, especially the foundation progressives in the state, to rally support for the tendency.
Hon. Demola Owoade, the Coordinator of Omoluabi Progressives in the federal constituency, in his remark, appreciated the State Coordinating Team and promised that Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal Constituency will continue to stand firm in the adoption of the Omoluabi ethos, which the caucus represents.
