Stay Away From PDP Primaries, Osun APC Tells Members

By Toba Adedeji

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) State of Osun chapter, Prince Gboyega Famodun has given stern warning to his party members to stay away from the venues where Peoples Democratic Party will be holding its primaries.

Famodun gave this caution to the party members in a statement made available to OSUN DEFENDER over the weekend.

The party members ‘are to stay away from the venues, and avoid contact with the PDP at the centres at all cost’, he warned.

The ruling party chairman, also implored PDP to choose their party officials on Saturday in a peaceful manner.

He said, “Osun has been peaceful and PDP members should do everything possible to keep it peaceful.

The APC chairman also advised the PDP to ensure that the primaries go without the usual violence witnessed in the past, because it is in the interest of everybody that Osun remain peaceful.

PDP has been enmeshed in leadership crisis both at the national and many states of the federation.

Today’s ward primaries many analysts believe may degenerate into fisticuffs as factions within the state’s party are battle ready to take control of the party structure.

Recall that Dr Faforiji camp loyal to former deputy governor, Chief Iyiola Omisore has repeatedly said that his camp is the authentic while Adagunodo also claimed that the bigwigs in party are all with him.
