Stop Your Propaganda, Appeal Court Confirmed Yes or No Chairmen Were Not Reinstated – PDP To Osun APC

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has condemned what it described as an attempt by the opposition All Progressives Congress to twist the ruling of the Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, delivered today, June 13, 2025.

The PDP claimed the ruling categorically upheld the sack of the APC “Yes or No” Chairmen and dismissed their attempt to resurrect a dead appeal.

A statement by the Chairman of Osun PDP, Sunday Bisi, a copy obtained by OSUN DEFENDER, said the judges affirmed that the acclaimed reinstatement of the sacked APC council chairmen is a lie, adding that the court warned the APC to stop turning the judiciary into a tool for political blackmail and confusion.

“For the record, the respected Justice Obiora, reading the unanimous judgment of three learned Justices, stated in open court that the APC’s so-called reinstatement is a lie, warning the party to stop turning the judiciary into a tool for political blackmail and confusion.

“The Court minced no words, describing APC’s failed motion as a “self-inflicted injury” and made it plain that “Equity aids the vigilant, not the indolent,’ the statement noted.

The PDP added that the court itself condemned APC’s misrepresentation of its February 10th ruling, exposing their desperation for power they lost both at the polls and in the courtroom.

“The APC abandoned its appeal for nearly two years, failed to compile the record, then returned to court shamelessly to revive it — and got exactly what they deserved: outright dismissal.

“It is laughable that a party so ignorant of basic law now insults the people’s intelligence by claiming a phantom “sanctity” for a judgment that never reinstated their illegal chairmen in the first place.

“The court itself condemned APC’s misrepresentation of its February 10th ruling, exposing their desperation for power they lost both at the polls and in the courtroom,” the PDP chairman added.

The statement said the only legitimate council chairmen in Osun today are those elected during the February 22 election.

“Let it be clear: the so-called “Yes or No” charade of 2022 is buried forever under the weight of multiple valid court judgments.

“The only legitimate chairmen today are the PDP-elected leaders, chosen by the people on 22nd February 2025, under a lawful process the court has upheld.

“Once again, the PDP warns the drowning APC to stop threatening law enforcement and local councils with their reckless misinformation.

“The same judiciary the APC now blackmailing has disgraced it in black and white. No amount of propaganda can make a reality out of a fake falsified narration,” the statement noted.
