Story Of Rift Between Aregbesola And Tinubu: Why Misinforming The People? By Inwalomhe Donald

The Haters Want to Manufacture Fake News to Suggest A Feud Between Rauf Aregbesola and his leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Perish the thought. It will never never happen in this age or the age to come. Haters are misinforming the people by claiming that Aregbesola has a rift with Tinubu. This statement credited to haters, clearly showed that they are uninformed and mischief makers. My question now is what is the rift between Aregbesola and Tinubu? In what sense?ย  I want to advise haters to go for psychological test because the fake news was not coherent and it lacks basic facts about Aregbesola. If there is anything that enemies want from Tinubu, they should go straight to Tinubu instead of smearing the name of Aregbesola to gain cheap popularity.

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has debunked claims of nursing presidential ambition in 2023 and also dismissed claims that he is at war with his leader and mentor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He spoke in Abuja against the background of the lies peddled by an online publication.

Ogbeni Aregbesola said his loyalty to Asiwaju is not only total, his commitment to whatever the leader wants is unwavering. The minister revealed that he knew where the story was coming from and the identity of those sponsoring it. โ€˜Rift with Asiwaju Tinubu? Nothing can be more impossible! Nothing can be farther from the truth. I remain committed to my mentor,โ€™ Aregbesola said, adding that โ€œthe group our detractors claim has been banned is the most committed to the realization of Asiwajuโ€™s ambition.โ€

The minister continued: โ€œThey even said I have presidential ambition. False!โ€

Aregbesola reiterated that the APC is one, adding that the party is like an oak tree that keeps growing. He said his focus and goal is to execute his ministerial duties as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari. In conclusion, he urged his supporters to ignore the publication in its entirety and refrain from being distracted from the goal of building a strong APC as well as a united Nigeria.

One of the leading headlines in various platforms in the internet is the story of Rift between Aregbesola and Tinubu on June 9, 2020. The fake news is a calculated attempt to blackmail Rauf Aregbesola and create problem between Aregbesola and his political leader, Asiwaju Tinubu. The fake news showed that enemies are jealous of Aregbesolaโ€™s achievements in Osun state, as Minister of Interior and his closeness to Tinubu. Enemies are aware of past and present developments in Nigeria.

They have deliberately resorted to cheap propaganda, mischief and blackmail to cause division between Asiwaju Tinubu and Aregbesola. The fact is that haters have lost relevance in Nigeria politics because they are purblind to the realities in Nigeria.

The fake news was an attempt to blackmail Aregbesola. Any dutiful and objective appraisal of the issues arising from the fake news would agree with me that enemies were really out to denigrate Aregbesola for intentions that had nothing to do with the public interests in Nigeria. I am appalled by the deliberate attempt by enemies to cause division between Asiwaju Tinubu and Aregbesola. I find it ridiculously baseless and mischievous the ranting of enemies of the leader, Tinubu. This can only be part of the unrelenting campaign of calumny and the ceaseless peddling of pernicious propaganda against Aregbesola.

Aregbesolaโ€™s preoccupation has been and continues to be how to deliver on his promised rescue Agenda to the good people, Bola Tinubu and President Buhari. And he has received applause and commendations from far and near for being so focused and unrelenting in the pursuit of his vision for Nigeria. Aregbesola will not be distracted by any form of organised and orchestrated blackmail from any quarters, God willing; he will continue to deliver on his promises. Enemies have made calculated statements to undermine and distort present developments in Nigeria. He is peddling inaccuracies, misleading and calculated mischief about Tinubu in an attempt to blackmail Aregbesola and set him on a collision course with the people and Asiwaju Tinubu.

APC GROUPS IN LAGOS DISSOLVED

All political groups within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos have been dissolved. The Mandate Group and the Justice Group, the two most powerful groups, will no longer exist, according to the communique issued by the party leaders in the state after a meeting on Tuesday.

โ€˜APC IS ONE GROUP, ONE FAMILYโ€™

In the communique signed by 27 party chieftains who are members of the Governorโ€™s Advisory Council (GAC), they said โ€œit was unequivocally resolved that all factions like JG and MG are inimical to party unity and are hereby permanently disbanded and prohibited within the party.

โ€œParty members should no longer make use of these factions or their names with regard to future party business and activities. To continue to hold meetings in the name of these groups or to continue to promote such associations will amount to a violation of this resolution.

โ€œThe only permitted use of the names will be limited to historic references. Any violation of this decision is subject to party discipline, including suspension and expulsion. This prohibition extends solely to official party business. We are in no way trying to abridge anyoneโ€™s constitutional rights to free speech or assembly. The party chairman is hereby tasked with promulgating more detailed regulations with regard to prohibited and permissible activities for sub-party groupings.

โ€œThe party remains supreme. It has developed structures from the ward level to local government and state levels. These are recognized by the partyโ€™s constitution. They are adequate platforms for members to congregate and to present their views.

โ€œThe APC in Lagos is one party and one family. We must always act in this spirit if we are to attain the dream of democratic prosperity that we set out to achieve. We must do this in honor of June 12 and those who gave of themselves to make democracy our reality.โ€

Signatories to the communique include Tinubu, Babajide Sanwoolu, the state governor, Obafemi Hamzat, the deputy governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Babatunde Raji Fashola, both former governors.

Others are: Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, Henry Oladele Ajomale, Bushura Alebiosu, Abiodun Ogunleye, Murphy Adetoro, James Odunmbaku, Tony Adefuye, S.A. Seriki, Olorunfunmi Bashorun, Rabiu Oluwa, M.A. Taiwo, Mutiu Lawal Are, Yomi Finnih, Muyiwa Sosanya, Tunde Samuel, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Rasak Lanre, Mudashiru Adisa Obasa (speaker), Babatunde Balogun, Wale Edun, Ranti Adebule and Kemi Nelson.

Why misinforming the people about the alleged rift between Aregbesola and Tinubu? Why? Why?
