Nwabali shared the sad news with his followers on Instagram on Friday, November 15, posting a heartfelt message alongside a tearful emoji to honor his father’s memory.

Although the goalie did not reveal the cause of the death instead shared a heartfelt tribute with message, “Rest in peace, dad”.
Just a day before, on Thursday, November 14, Nwabali took to the field as Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper in a 1-1 draw against the Squirrels of Benin during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifiers.
