Super Eagles: Sanusi Signs Two-Year Contract Extension

Super Eagles defender, Zaidu Sanusi has signed a two-year contract extension with the Portuguese outfit, FC Porto.
It was gathered that the left-back performed admirably in FC Porto’s Champions League victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

The Nigerian International joined Porto from Santa Clara in 2020 and has since then been proving his worth in Sérgio Conceição team.

Sanusi, who scored the game-winning goal that propelled FC Porto to their 30th league title last season, drew interest from across the leagues, but the team was wary of the massive release clause slapped on the defender’s head.

Having proven his worth for the Portuguese side, his club looked like they wanted him on the team for more years.

The 25-year said, “I am very happy to have renewed my contract with FC Porto until 2027. It is very important for me.”

“It was a very important goal for me, for the club, for the president and it made me very happy. I am even more fulfilled for having renewed today.” he said.

Sanusi said he looked forward to score more goals and achieving greater things with his club

“I hope to score many more goals and celebrate even more victories here,” he added.
