The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday sang the old national anthem, ‘Arise O Compatriot’, instead of the newly adopted ‘Nigeria We Hail Thee’, during their 2026 World Cup Qualifiers match against Benin Republic.
It was gathered that the players sang the now ‘old anthem’ at the beginning of the match.
