A magistrate’s court, sitting in Osogbo, State of Osun, has remanded a 25-year-old suspected armed robber, Adams Abubakar, in Ilesa Correctional Centre for allegedly robbing two commercial motorcyclists of their motorcycles in Osogbo.
Abubakar and others now at large, according to the charge sheet obtained by OSUN DEFENDER yesterday, armed themselves with cutlasses, knives and other dangerous weapon to rob one Babatunde Kadiri of his Bajaj Motorcycle with Registration number GNN 515 QM valued N380, 000.
Abubakar and others at large were also alleged of robbing one Isaac Peter of his Bajaj Motorcycle with Registration number BDS 566 QD valued N380, 000.
They allegedly committed the offence on December 24, 2020 at about 11:30am at New Muslim Prayer Ground, Oke-Baale, Osogbo.
But, the plea of the accused person was not taken as the Magistrate Court lacks jurisdiction to trial the case.
However, the Magistrate, Mrs. Olubunmi Ajanaku ordered that the defendant be remanded in Ilesa Correctional Centre.
The case was adjourned till April 4, 2020 for mention
