People suspected to be robbers at the weekend raided a Pentecostal church at Itanla area along Ondo/Akure highway in Ondo town.
They reportedly carted away cash and other valuable materials estimated at several thousands of naira.
The Living Faith Church (a.k.a winners’ chapel) was said to have been ransacked by the suspected robbers who invaded the church in a Toyota Prado Jeep at about 2.00 am.
The bandits who were said to be five in numbers were said to have shot sporadically into the air shortly after arriving at the church premises and locked up all the security men in a room before they went straight to the computer room of a Nursery and Primary school owned by the church.
One of the security men said they were on duty when the suspected robbers suddenly drove into the church premises and started shooting sporadically to the air.
He said the hoodlums disposed of them there of their guns and handsets

Normalcy had however returned to the area, while religion activities had picked up in the church.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Femi Joseph, said he had not been briefed on the matter, promising to contact the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Bolorunduro for a briefing.
