Femi Gbajabiamila, on Tuesday, arrived in Osun State for an official visit, where he was warmly received by the Governor of the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke. OSUN DEFENDER reports that Gbajabiamila arrived in Osun state for his role as the Guest Lecturer at the maiden edition of the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) Annual Lecture, a landmark event aimed at deepening national conversations on education financing in Nigeria. The Annual Lecture, titled: “Interrogating Funding of Education: Global versus Nigerian Perspectives,” is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 20th May 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium, Main Campus, Osogbo. Gbajabiamila, who is also a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, will deliver insights on education financing from both international and local policy standpoints. Speaking ahead of the event, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, emphasized the significance of the lecture, describing it as a “bold step by the university to stimulate critical discourse on sustainable education funding, aligning global best practices with Nigeria’s unique realities.” The lecture is expected to attract a distinguished audience comprising academics, policymakers, industry leaders, diplomats, traditional rulers, and civil society actors—all united in seeking lasting solutions to the challenges facing education funding in the country. . .
