TASUED Orders Closure of Institution

Management of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State has closed down the institution and directed all students to vacate the University campuses immediately.

This is coming barely 24hours after some military men allegedly invaded the Students community and went away with some students of the school including the Students’ Union President.

It will be recalled that OSUN DEFENDER had earlier reported the arrest of Sodiq Ridwan, President of TASUEDSU and other students of the university.

Students of the school, this morning blocked the popular Lagos/Abeokuta Express road in protest of the alleged invasion.

Speaking on the development, Secretary of t he apex Students body in Nigeria, National Association of Nigerian Students, Comr. Adekitan Lukman, who spoke to OSUN DEFENDER on phone stated that the Secretariat of NANS has been relocated to the Ogun State.

“NANS Presidency has waded in, we enjoined Nigerian Students in Ogun to stay calm and remain law abiding as efforts are on top gear to take control of the situation”, Adekitan said.
