Teen, 2 Others Remanded In Prison Over Alleged Armed Robbery

A Magistrate Court in Osogbo, State of Osun has remanded three persons in Ilesha prison custody over alleged armed robbery.

The accused persons includeTunde Olalere aged 17, Jonathan Ayodele aged 26, Tosin Adelowo and aged 27.

The Prosecutor, Abiodun Fagboyinbo told the court that the accused persons committed the offences on January 20th, 2018 at Igbona area in Osogbo.

The prosecutor said the accused persons conspired among themselves with dangerous weapon like cutlasses to rob one Toheeb Kamorudeen.

He further told the court that the accused persons robbed Kamorudeen of his Techno L8 mobile phone valued N28,000 and the sum of an5,000.

Fagboyinbo stated the offences are contrary to section 6(b) and punishable under sections 1(l),1(2)(a)(b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act Cap Rll Vol.14 laws of Federation Nigeria, 2004.

The accused persons pleawas not taken over 2-count charge against them.

In his ruling, Magistrate Fatimo Sodamade ordered that the accused persons be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case till 5th March, 2018 for mention.
