Teen Pleads Guilty Of Stealing Phones

A 19 –year-old teenager, Sikiru Basit has been committed to clear bush within the premises of an Osogbo Magistrate Court for stealing phone worth N16,000.

Basit was arraigned before the court on Monday.

The charge read in court revealed that the suspect stole one Nokia Asha 501, valued N10,000 and one Itel 5310 valued N6,000, all totaling N16,000 property of one Jimoh Akeem Olaosebikan.

It stated that the accused committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 390[9] of the criminal code cap 34 vol. II laws of Osun state Nigeria 2003.

The suspect pleaded guilty to the charge leveled against him

The defence counsel, Amaechi Ngwu prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.

The presiding magistrate, O.A Oloyade ordered the accused person to clear the bush around the court and ordered the prosecutor to release the accused person on bail.
