AN 18-year-old girl, Tolulope Akinola, has said that she fled her Egbeda resident in Lagos state to Osogbo, the capital of State of Osun over alleged sexual advances from her biological father.
Akinola, a native of Oyan, said she was living with her father since the demise of her mother eight years ago.
She alleged that her father who did not remarry since the death of her mother would always want to sexually exploit her anytime he drinks to stupor.
Speaking with OSUN DEFENDER on Monday, Akinola said she left Lagos for Osogbo in February, 2022 in search of one of her aunt, Funke Oladiran, in order to stay away from her father.
The aunt, according to her, is a fashion designer who own a shop around Ilesa garage, but on getting there, she noticed the aunt has already vacated the shop without a traceable address.
She said she engaged herself in a labourer job since she came to Osogbo a month ago as a means of survival.
According to her, she fell sick while working at a site which led her to the state hospital, Asubiaro for treatment.
She claimed she was not attended to by doctor on duty, as she could not afford the payment for treatment.
Akinola said a female corps of the South-west Security Network (Amotekun) known as Nana Fatima came to her aide by contacting the Founder/Coordinator of Monsurat Ajoke Foundation (MAF), Ms. Monsurat Ibrahim, to come to attend to her.
Ibrahim took the helpless girl to another hospital where she was treated of Malaria.
According to MAF Coordinator, the girl has been in the custody of the Foundation for maximum care and rehabilitation.
