From personal revelations to business lessons and record-breaking feats, Nigeria’s entertainment industry has been buzzing with captivating stories. Afrobeats stars, entrepreneurs, and chefs have all shared moments that stirred conversations across social media.

Here are some of the highlights making waves:

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed that she has been celibate for the past three years.

Speaking in an interview with The Breakfast Club, the singer explained that she has been single since her last relationship ended three years ago, adding that intimacy only appeals to her when she is in love.

She said: “I have gone three years without sex. It is not something I really like or crazy about. I have to be in love to have the urge for sex. I have to be with someone for me to even think about it. I don’t even have sex toys. Maybe, I need to. Maybe, people need to get me toys for my Christmas presents.”

Savage had earlier opened up about her traumatic experience in a toxic secret relationship with a Nigerian public figure, which she described as “disrespectful” due to her partner’s infidelity.

In another revelation, Afrobeats star and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi, shared how he lost about N19 million in a failed diesel investment when he was just 19 years old. Speaking on a podcast, he explained that he borrowed money from his uncle and wife in Nigeria to supply diesel to clients, including MTN.

However, the government’s sudden deregulation of fuel prices caused the value of his stock to crash, leaving him with huge losses. “Explaining to my uncle that his life savings were gone was one of the hardest moments, and he was devastated,” he recounted. Despite the setback, Mr Eazi described the experience as a tough but valuable lesson that shaped his resilience and business mindset.

Also in the spotlight, celebrity chef Hilda Baci reflected on the dramatic moment when her custom-made pot collapsed during her Guinness World Record attempt for cooking the largest pot of jollof rice at the World Jollof Festival in Lagos.

She admitted the incident initially shook her confidence but later turned into a blessing. “It was important that people got to taste and enjoy the food we had spent hours making. I would say it was a good thing that the pot caved because it made food distribution a lot easier,” she explained. Despite the mishap, Guinness World Records officially recognized her feat after reviewing the evidence submitted.

Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage has also addressed long-standing speculations about her relationship with fellow Afrobeats superstar Wizkid.

In another interview with The Breakfast Club, she clarified that while she loves and respects Wizkid, he was not the celebrity she previously dated in secret. “Shoutout to Wizkid. I love and respect him but he isn’t the one I was referring to,” she stated, choosing not to reveal the actual identity of her ex.
