I smoked for 27 years, started at 13 — Tonto Dikeh

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared a deeply personal testimony of what she described as her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church.

In a video shared by DCLImagery on YouTube, the actress spoke during the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) service led by Pastor Jerry Eze. Dikeh revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13 and struggled with various addictions for years, attributing her transformation to divine intervention.

“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation, too,” she said, adding that she had endured years of spiritual oppression and anger that affected her personal life and relationships.

She disclosed that she almost backed out of sharing her testimony due to concerns about her public image but chose honesty over fear. According to her, attending the Ghana Prayer Conference marked a turning point, bringing peace she says she had never experienced before.

Now 40, Dikeh said she no longer has cravings for cigarettes or alcohol and urged parents to be mindful of habits children are exposed to at home. She later shared photos from the church on Instagram, describing herself as “a living testimony of mercy.”
