Don Jazzy considers searching for a wife outside Nigeria
Popular music executive and Mavin Records boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has hinted that he may extend his search for love beyond Nigeria, possibly to East Africa.
The 43-year-old producer made the playful remark during an Instagram interaction after a fan described him as an “African treasure” who belongs to the entire continent and not just Nigerians. Responding humorously, Don Jazzy said he often feels connected to countries like Ghana, South Africa and Uganda, despite never visiting Uganda.
He jokingly suggested that since he had not found a wife in Nigeria, he might consider visiting Uganda or Tanzania in search of a partner, adding that he had heard “the babes there are nice.”
Don Jazzy was previously married to Michelle Jackson in his early twenties, but the marriage ended after two years. He has openly admitted that his deep commitment to music contributed to the breakup and has since spoken about focusing on personal growth before considering remarriage.
‘He wanted to sleep with me’ – Phyna on fallout with VeryDarkMan during late sister’s case
Reality TV star and former BBNaija winner Phyna has accused social media influencer VeryDarkMan of turning the public against her after she allegedly rejected his sexual advances.
The accusation surfaced amid an ongoing online feud between the pair over the case involving Phyna’s late younger sister, Ruth Otabor, who reportedly died after being hit by a Dangote Cement truck in Edo State.
According to Phyna, VeryDarkMan initially became involved in helping her seek justice for the incident, but later withdrew from the matter, accusing her of privately negotiating with the company. Phyna denied the allegation and claimed he manipulated public opinion against her.
Sharing alleged chat evidence online, the reality star stated that she could never forgive him for how he handled the situation, adding that she believes his attitude changed after she turned down his alleged romantic interest in her.

Media personality and content creator Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has revealed that she is not under pressure to get married after deciding to freeze her eggs.
Speaking during an interview on the Echo Room podcast, the 30-year-old explained that she nearly rushed into marriage with someone she did not truly see as an ideal life partner because she feared the pressure of the biological clock.
Ashmusy said freezing her eggs has given her peace of mind and confidence about motherhood in the future, even if the right man does not come along immediately.
She also reflected on how societal pressure pushes many women into unhappy marriages, stressing that desperation should never be the reason for choosing a life partner.
Wizkid opened doors for African artists – Nasty C
South African rapper Nasty C has credited Nigerian superstar Wizkid for helping African music gain global acceptance.
During a recent podcast interview, Nasty C pointed to Wizkid’s 2016 collaboration with Canadian rapper Drake on the hit song One Dance as a turning point for African music on the international stage.
According to him, the success of the song significantly boosted the popularity and commercial value of Afrobeats, with some rappers even switching genres because of the opportunities the sound created.
One Dance, which also featured British singer Kyla, became the first song to surpass one billion streams on Spotify and is widely regarded as one of the records that pushed Afrobeats further into global mainstream culture.
Nigerian youths not ready to stand up to evil politicians, insecurity – Influencer GehGeh
Media personality GehGeh has criticised Nigerian youths and security agencies over their response to insecurity and governance issues in the country.
In a statement shared online, GehGeh compared recent events in South Africa with the Nigerian situation, claiming that South Africans appeared more united and coordinated in confronting national issues.
He further alleged that while South African authorities supported their citizens in carrying out certain missions, Nigerian security agencies remained focused on issues like cybercrime and social media controversies instead of larger national concerns.
The influencer also accused Nigerian youths of failing to rise against what he described as “evil politicians” responsible for the country’s challenges.

Veteran Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has opened up about the emotional struggles that led to the collapse of his marriage.
In an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Jim Iyke revealed that he went through a difficult phase in life where he lost his confidence, motivation and sense of leadership.
The actor explained that during that period, he devoted himself almost entirely to being a father to his son while neglecting his responsibilities as a husband. He described himself as an “excellent father but a woeful husband.”
According to him, his wife eventually admitted that she could no longer recognise the man she married. Though he asked for patience while he worked on healing emotionally, he also understood her decision to leave when she felt unable to continue waiting.
