There Is No Rift Between Me And Governor Oyetola – Aregbesola

The immediate past Governor of the state of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has dispelled rumours of any frosty relationship between him and the incumbent, Governor Gboyega Oyetola urging the people to disregard any information to that effect.

Speaking at a special thanksgiving prayer organized by the governor for him at the government house in Osogbo on Sunday, the former Governor described the rumour as baseless and unfounded.

Aregbesola said the present government was as a result of the uncommon and unwavered commitment of his resolve to ensure the entrenchment of good governance in the state of Osun.

“Let me clear the air that there is no bringandage between me and the present government. The current government is as a result of our unfettered commitment, result and effort. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for.”

“Oyetola is my senior brother who is senior to me in all ramifications. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government. So, there’s nothing meaningful in me having any issues with him. Let the detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state.”

”We will remain irrevocably committed to the continued progress and development of our state.”
