“This Is Nigeria”: Mark Zuckerberg, Kunle Afolayan React As PHCN Takes Light During Lagos Visit

A viral video has captured the moment Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, and Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, were thrown into darkness during a conversation in Lagos, following a sudden power outage.
In the short clip making the rounds online, Zuckerberg and Afolayan were engaged in a lively discussion when electricity supply was abruptly cut — a situation many Nigerians have long come to associate with the now-defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).
The sudden blackout prompted laughter from both men, with Kunle and Zuckerberg exchanging smiles before quipping, “This is Nigeria.”
