Three Man Remanded Over Alleged Robbery

A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State has on Wednesday remanded three suspects in Ilesha prison custody over alleged robbery.

The three accused persons, Damilola Babalola, 23, Agbo Emeka, 34 and Emmanuel Rapheal, 23 were docked on four count charges bothering on conspiracy, felony to wit armed robbery and attempted murder.

The charge sheet read in court disclosed that the accused persons armed themselves with axe, gun and robbed one Mukaila Oyewumi of his Bajaj motorcycle.

According to the charge sheet, the suspects committed the offence on August 17, 2018 at about 8pm at Osogbo Grammar School area, Osogbo.

The offence committed, the charge sheet revealed, is contrary to Section 6(b) and punishable under Section 1(1) of the Robbery and Firearms (special provisions) Act Cap R11 Vol.14 laws of the federation of the Nigeria, 2004.

The Magistrate, A.O Ajanaku ordered that the accused persons should be remanded in the Ilesha prison custody.

She later adjourned the case to October 24, 2018 for hearing.
