Thugs Beat Police Officer To Death, Bury Him In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two individuals in connection with the brutal killing of a police officer, Ibrahim Maizabuwa.

The suspects, identified as Ezekiel Kefas (67) and Stephen Zabadi (44), are residents of Wamsa Suwa Ward in Lamurde Local Government Area of the state.

According to the police spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the duo was apprehended on November 19, 2024, following a report by the deceased officer’s son, Danlami Ibrahim Maizabuwa.

Investigations revealed that the officer was attacked and killed by a group of thugs and subsequently buried in the community after visiting his friend, Ezekiel Kefas.

During interrogation, Kefas alleged that the officer, while visiting his home, destroyed property, including a pot of soup, and assaulted people present.

This caused panic among women and children, drawing the attention of local thugs who reportedly beat the officer to death.

Kefas claimed, “My friend came and started destroying property, including a pot of soup and water, and assaulted people. Women and children raised an alarm, attracting thugs who beat him to death.

“The attackers, identified as Yakubu, Suleiman, and Kilyobas, used sticks during the assault. We went to their houses yesterday, but they were nowhere to be found.”

The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident, vowing to ensure that all suspects are apprehended and brought to justice.
