Tinubu Commissions Bola Ahnmed Tinubu Barracks, Celebrates Armed Forces
President Bola Tinubu has praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their service and sacrifices, calling them the nation’s heroes.
He spoke during the commissioning of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Barracks and other new facilities under the Nigerian Army Special Projects in Abuja, on Thursday.
“You are our heroes, and I thank you for what you have been doing for this country,” Tinubu said.
The President highlighted the importance of the military’s contributions to national security and pledged continued support for their welfare.
“What you are doing for Nigeria is remarkable. The only way to appreciate you is to continue to show support to the men and women in uniform,” he stated.
Tinubu emphasized that the welfare of troops would remain a priority for his administration. “Knowing that the federal government is always ready to provide what the troops need is essential for winning battles. It is your welfare we are not going to compromise.”
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Barracks was designed to tackle the housing challenges faced by personnel of the Army Headquarters and other Army establishments in Abuja.
The project, initiated by Major General Philip Eromosele, began on November 26, 2022.
