Tinubu Embarks On 11th Foreign Trips In 2024
●Reportedly Spent Over N2.3 billion On Foreign Trips
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday embarked on his 11th foreign trip in 2024.
President Tinubu has traveled over 20 times to Foreign countries since he assumed office in May, 2023.
The Presidency announced that Tinubu will embark on a yearly leave to the United Kingdom.
Tinubu has reportedly expended N2.3billion on Foreign trips from February 21st to July 19th.
How Many Times Has Tinubu Traveled Overseas Since He Assume Office?
The trip to the United Kingdom will be the 27th time Tinubu will travel outside Nigeria since he assumed office.
When And Where Did President Tinubu Traveled To?
So far, he has visited Equatorial Guinea, London (four times), the United Kingdom (twice); Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; Porto Norvo, Benin Republic; Pretoria, South Africa; Accra, Ghana; New Delhi, India; Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; New York, the United States of America; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (twice); Berlin, Germany; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Dakar, Senegal and Doha, Qatar.
In 2024, Tinubu opened his foreign trips with a visit to France in February.
After the trip to France, he also visited Ethiopia and Qatar in February.
In April, Tinubu travelled to Senegal, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.
Also, in May, the President went to Chad, while in August Tinubu visited France, China and departed for the United Kingdom on September 6.
When Is Tinubu’s Next Foreign Trip?
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Wednesday, stated that the President will embark on a two-week vacation.
According to him, the President will use the two weeks as a working vacation and will return to the country as soon as his leave expires.

“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms. He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
Osun Defender had reported that Nigerians have questioned Tinubu’s frequent trips outside Nigeria with some of the opinion that the President’s travels had to do with his health status.
A portal documenting the Presidential Villa expenditures, revealed that the President splashed N2.3 billion on foreign trips and related expenses within six months.
