Tinubu Formed Govt For Lagos, Osun People – APC Chieftain
An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Jesutega Onokpasa, has expressed deep dissatisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, accusing him of sidelining core party supporters in favor of individuals from Lagos and Osun States.
In a detailed statement issued on Wednesday, Onokpasa alleged that the government formed under Tinubu has failed to reflect the inclusivity and equity expected by progressives who championed his election.
According to him, the administration’s policies have left Nigerians in despair, undermining the “Renewed Hope Agenda” it promised during the campaign.
He specifically criticized the ongoing case involving the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, labeling it a politically motivated persecution. Onokpasa recounted his visit to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) where Bello is being detained.
He alleged that the EFCC acted unprofessionally by restricting access to Bello despite the former governor voluntarily surrendering himself.
“This is not governance; this is vendetta. The EFCC has become an instrument of political witch-hunting, weaponized to silence those who stand for the truth,” he said.
Onokpasa, a senior lawyer and Chairman of the Tinubu Media Support Group (TMSG) expressed dismay at the President’s alleged betrayal of APC stalwarts and loyalists, stating that Tinubu’s actions have eroded trust within the party’s rank and file.
“How do you explain forming a government dominated by Lagosians and Osun people while neglecting those who labored to bring this administration to power?” he queried.

He further criticized the administration’s handling of economic policies, accusing it of plunging citizens into hunger and hardship.
“This is not the government we envisioned. Nigerians are distressed, and those who championed the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ are now left disillusioned,” he added.
While acknowledging some of Tinubu’s achievements, such as the revival of local refining through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Onokpasa lamented that these milestones are overshadowed by poor political decisions and perceived marginalization of loyal party members.
He warned that APC loyalists would not tolerate further alienation or betrayal, vowing that those sidelined would not go down without a fight.
“We are not cowards. Just as we put him in power, we can remove him from power,” he stated emphatically.
Onokpasa concluded his statement by expressing hope that justice would prevail, particularly for Yahaya Bello, whom he described as his younger brother, and declaring that God would ultimately judge the actions of those in power.
