A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, APC PCC, Ayo Oyalowo, has defended the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his absence at the just-concluded Peace Accord signing.
Speaking on Arise TV, Mr Oyalowo, who belongs to the publicity directorate of the campaign, dismissed the insinuation that Mr Tinubu is sick.
According to him, the APC flagbearer is resting in London, adding that he is perfectly healthy but taking time to refresh himself ahead of the official launch of the party’s presidential campaign.
The APC chieftain said that after working for an average of 20 hours a day, some close associates of the former Lagos State governor advised him to take a break abroad.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in London. He cannot rest in Lagos, they will not let him rest. He came to Abuja most of the time, and they will still not let him rest.
“This man has been working for an average of 20 hours in the 24 hours each day. So reasonable people thought he should leave the country because people will not let him rest since the campaign is coming soon,” he said.
