Tinubu Once Suggested Christian Genocide In Nigeria – Atiku’s Aide
Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Bola Tinubu of previously suggesting that Christians were being targeted in Nigeria.
He referenced a 2014 post from Tinubu’s official X handle, which read: “The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians.”
In a post on X on Tuesday, Ibe alleged that U.S. Senator Ted Cruz’s recent remarks about Christian genocide in Nigeria might have been inspired by an old statement from Tinubu in 2014.
Ibe wrote, “For the records, President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT had in 2014 alluded to a Christian genocide in Nigeria.
“Perhaps U.S. Senator Ted Cruz simply adopted Tinubu’s memo when he (Cruz) claimed without adducing any shred of evidence that there’s a Christian genocide in Nigeria.”
