Osun State University (UNIOSUN), a multi-campus institution operating within a collegiate system, comprises seven Colleges across six campuses situated in Osun State’s six geopolitical zones, offering a total of 99 accredited courses.
While UNIOSUN’s main campus boasts several beautiful locations in line with its founders’ vision, five particular spots hold a distinct allure and witness more frequent visits by students, as identified by OsunDefender Campus following a comprehensive investigation, observation, and survey.
The first and foremost of these frequently visited locations at UNIOSUN is the Olagunsoye Oyinola Auditorium, followed closely by the University Administrative Building, Ojuolape Ishola Memorial Building, the Rauf Aregbesola Engineering Complex, and the School’s ETF Building.
1. Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium: Situated on the main campus in Osogbo, the Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium holds the distinction of being the most frequented spot at UNIOSUN. This is due to its pivotal role in hosting various significant events, including matriculation and convocation ceremonies, as well as other gatherings organized by the school and student union leaders.
2. School Administrative Building: The School Administrative Building ranks as the second most visited location across all six campuses. This is primarily because every student, both new and returning, must visit this building for registration purposes at their respective faculty offices.
3. Ojuolape Ishola Memorial Building: Located on the Ikire campus, the Ojuolape Ishola Memorial Building captures the third spot in terms of popularity. It is a highly frequented place, largely owing to its picturesque backdrop, often used by students and visitors for taking photographs.
4. Rauf Aregbesola Engineering Complex: At the main campus in Osogbo, the Rauf Aregbesola Engineering Complex claims the fourth spot on the list of most visited places at UNIOSUN. This complex’s underground area houses restaurants, which serve as a significant draw for students and visitors due to its widespread popularity.
5. University ETF Building: The University ETF Building, situated at the Ikire campus, secures the fifth position in terms of popularity. Students and visitors alike flock to this building primarily due to the theater arts stage located within the ETF B building. Additionally, it is a hub for General Nigerian Studies (GNS) courses, where students from various campuses receive GNS lectures.
