3. Osun NLC Directs LG Workers To Withdraw Services Indefinitely

The Osun State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has directed all local government workers in the state to withdraw their services indefinitely from Monday, 17th February 2025, citing safety concerns.

6. Police Raid Two IPOB/ESN Camps, Kill Notorious Leaders

The operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have dismantled two terrorist camps operated by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militant wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Imo State.

7. Ondo Youths Set Police Station Ablaze After Boy Dies In Custody

Angry Ondo youths have set fire to a divisional police station in Ifon, headquarters of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, following allegations that a young boy died in police custody after being tortured.

Sources said the incident occurred after the boy, whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested alongside another person following a fight on Friday night, which was Valentine’s Day.

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), demanding an immediate reversal of the recent increase in Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transaction fees.
