Tragedy: Fed Poly Offa Students Die In Fatal Accident

Two students of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State lost their lives in fatal accident on Tuesday night.

It was reliably gathered that a Toyota Bus had an accident along Ilorin-Omupo road of the state.

According to the crash report of Federal Road Safety Corps which was made available to our correspondent on Wednesday, “the accident occurred as a result of lost in control by the driver which later caused the vehicle to burn to ashes.”

The report confirmed that two people were killed in the fatal accident.

The reports reads, “RTC Report-Idofia OutPost Rs8:1 Ilorin Date-06/02/8 Time of RTC-08:38hrs; Route : Ilorin-Omupo Road 7killo meters from base , location- Prayer Ground; Cause:Lost of Control, Burnt to Ashes.

It was indicated by the report of FRSC that twelve people were involved in the accident while two people died, nine people were injured and one escaped unhurt. The victims were said to have been referred to a private hospital.

The President of Mass Communication Students at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Jejeniwa Olamilakan when contacted on phone was not available but on WhatsApp groups of the department, several pictures of the two victims confirming that the victims were students of the department.
