The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi said the Abuja-Kaduna train service will resume today (Saturday).
Recall that a section of the rail line was blown up by gunmen days ago.
While on an on-site inspection tour of the scene of the blast yesterday, Ameachi said the FG will be deploying digital security sensors on the railway tracks such that they can easily know when there is any impact on it.
He added that the government is working with the Department of State Services and the Chief of Army to apprehend the suspects.
According to the Minister, “The repair work is completed. What is significant is that the repair was done by our Nigerian engineers and completed in record time.
“They moved in today and finished today and by tomorrow (today), we expect that the first train run by tomorrow (Saturday).”
