Residents of Powerline Area, Osogbo, Osun State have appealed to the state government to intervene over what they described as an attempt to acquire their lands illegally through a court judgement obtained by one Misturah Busari.
The residents, who trooped out in their hundreds on Monday morning to express their grievances against the court judgement procured from a state High Court in Osogbo, said they all have documents indicating ownership of the lands.

3. Ex-Osun Senator Dumps PDP
The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Ward 01, Iragbiji, Osun State on Monday said it has been notified by the lawmaker who represented Osun Central Senatorial District in the Senate between 2003 and 2007, Felix Ogunwale, of his resignation from the party.
Ogunwale had previously resigned his post as the chairman of the Governing Council of the Osun State Health Technology, Ilesa, raising concerns about his relationship with the governor, Ademola Adeleke.
But at the special ward congress of the party held in Iragbiji, the PDP chairperson for Ward 01, Taibat Oladimeji, said Ogunwale’s exit was a relief, noting that he has not participated in party activities for about one year.
Oladimeji, whose speech was read by Abayomi Adegoke, declared that the Ward Executives would not join Ogunwale in abandoning the party, as he restated their commitment to PDP and the Adeleke administration.
