1. Man Electrocuted While Trying To Steal Transformer Cables In Osun

A yet-to-be-named vandal was electrocuted while attempting to plunder a transformer around the popular prayer ground, Baba Abiye, in Ede, Osun State.

This was confirmed in a statement on Friday signed by the Regional Communication and Branding Officer, Kikelomo Owoeye, on behalf of the Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc, Osun Region.

2. Ifon-Ilobu-Erin Osun Communal Crisis: Adeleke Relaxes Curfew Ahead Of Eid El Kabir, Warns Traditional Rulers

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has announced a relaxation of the dusk-to-dawn curfew earlier imposed on the crisis-prone communities of Ifon, Ilobu, and Erin Osun, following what he described as a “near total return to peace” in the affected areas.

OSUN DEFENDER reports that the curfew, which previously ran from 6:00pm to 6:00am daily, will now commence at 9:00pm and end by 5:00am, beginning from Sunday, May 25.
