Ogunbiyi who is the Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, declared his intention while addressing journalists in Ileogbo, headquarters of Ayedire local government.

2. Osun 2026: Defection Won’t Stop Adeleke’s Re-election – PDP chair
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State,, has stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke will be re-elected in 2026, despite the defection of some members of the party to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
The chairman of the party, Sunday Bisi, who stated this, declared that the defection of the members will not stop Governor Adeleke from winning his re-election in 2026.

3. Adeleke Heads To Supreme Court As FG Seizes Osun LGs’ Allocations
The crisis over the control of local government councils in Osun State between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken another twist, with the state government dragging the Federal Government to the Supreme Court for allegedly seizing the monthly allocations accruing to the councils.
Osun State local government allocations for the months of February, March and April 2025 are reportedly withheld, while that of May has not yet been determined.
