A former Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has urged members of the Omoluabi Progressives to key into the philosophy and ethos of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

This was as he described former governor Rauf Aregbesola as a visionary leader who is dedicated to the fight for a better society.

2. Osun Varsity Bars Improperly-Dressed Students From Lectures

The management of the University of Ilesa, Osun State, has directed its staff to bar improperly dressed students from attending lectures or accessing offices within the institution.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Taiwo Asaolu, announced this during the second matriculation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session, held on Wednesday on the university campus in Ilesa.

Addressing the newly admitted students, Asaolu emphasised the importance of discipline and proper conduct both on and off campus.

He warned that the university would not issue certificates to students found lacking in character and learning.

3. Osun APC Plans ‘Trump’s Strategy’ To Unseat Adeleke

The Osun Unity Forum, a support group within the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, has announced plans to adopt a strategy used by American President-elect Donald Trump to unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2026 governorship election.

According to the group’s convener, Abimbola Amusan, the APC would mobilise new voters and students just like Trump did in the US to defeat Vice President Kamala Harris in the November presidential poll.

Speaking at a press briefing held at the Osun APC State Secretariat in Osogbo, the group’s convener, Amusan, outlined a strategy to engage voters who will be turning 18 before the election.
