1. Why Osun Primary, Secondary School Teachers’ January Salaries May Be Delayed – SUBEB Chair

The Chairman of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, has disclosed reasons why the January salaries of primary and secondary school teachers in the state might face delays.

Speaking during a live broadcast on Fresh FM Osogbo’s programme, Agbami Oselu, Hon. Fadipe attributed the possible delay to the implementation of the Local Government Autonomy Law, which requires each local government to independently collect its allocation from Abuja.

2. Ignore Opposition’s Distractions, Osun PDP Chair Urges Adeleke

The Osun State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Mr. Sunday Bisi, on Monday, urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to ignore distractions from opposition elements in the state.

Bisi made the call in Osogbo during an interdenominational prayer session organised by the party to usher in the new year.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor, Mr. Kola Adewusi; former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola; and former PDP National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, among others.

Addressing party members, Bisi emphasised the need to highlight the achievements of the Adeleke administration at the grassroots level.
