1. Osun Man Sells Family House, Exhumes Parents’ Corpses

The Osun State Police Command is investigating allegations against one Mutiu Rauf Okunola, who reportedly sold his late parents’ family home and exhumed their corpses without his siblings’ consent.

The property located at Dada Estate, Osogbo, sparked a dispute after one of the siblings, Mrs. Adedoyin Rukayat, discovered the sale. Rukayat alleged that Mutiu, also known as Tato, sold the house and tampered with their parents’ graves without consulting the other siblings—Fatimo, Khadijat, Teslim, and Quadri Rauf.

2. Osun Donates Food Items, Building Materials To Disaster Victims

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has donated relief materials to the victims of disasters in all three senatorial districts in the state.

A statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Kolapo Alimi, obtained in Osogbo, the state capital, on Wednesday, indicated that the items were presented to the beneficiaries in Osogbo, on behalf of Adeleke by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency, Emiola Fakeye.

3. CDHR Seeks Rehabilitation Of Pardoned 53 Osun Convicts

The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights has called on Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to facilitate the rehabilitation and integration of the 53 convicts pardoned on Decembers 26, 2024.

An Executive Director at CDHR, Emmnauel Olowu, gave the advice during an interview on Wednesday in Osogbo.

Commending the Osun State government for the amnesty given to the convicts, Mr Olowu said that their re-entry into society presented an opportunity for restorative justice and reintegration.
