A man identified as Sikiru Adewale Olaboye, who was among those who disrupted the 2006 Oroki Day celebration in Osogbo, has publicly sought forgiveness from the former Governor of Osun State and immediate past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for his actions.

Speaking during a live radio programme on Fresh FM Osogbo on Monday, Olaboye recounted his involvement in a series of political activities aimed at opposing Aregbesola’s rise to power.

2. Appeal Court Dismisses APC Case On Osun LG Election

The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State has dismissed an appeal filed by Chairmen and Councillors who were candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the local government election conducted during the administration of the immediate past governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.

Osun Defender had reported that Oyetola through the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission conducted the YES or NO local government election where all candidates of the APC were declared winners.

The death sentence meted out to Segun Olowookere for stealing fowl and eggs in Osun State has generated quite a buzz and caught the attention of Nigerians and beyond.
