Tributes As IBEDC Losses Osun Regional Head
The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc. (IBEDC), on Tuesday, lost one of its staff, Mr. Abiodun Abideen Adebayo to the cold hands of death.
Mr Adebayo was, until his death, the Regional Head of the Osun region.
The late Adebayo, who was recently deployed to Osun region, died at the age of 55 and has since been buried in the Islamic ways.
In a condolence letter to the deceased family, IBEDC described the late Adebayo as a valuable member, adding that his death was felt across the nooks and crannies of the company’s business.
The company, while expressing shock at the sudden death, said the late Adebayo lived a meaningful life and left a positive impact on all he met and worked with.
The condolence letter read, “On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management, and entire Staff of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc. (IBEDC), kindly accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Mr. Abiodun Abideen Adebayo.
“The news of his death was a big shock to us, his colleagues. He was a very valuable member of our team whose irreparable loss is felt across all the nooks and cranes of our business. However, we take solace in the fact that he lived a meaningful life and left a positive impact on all he met and worked with.
“As a business, we will always remember his contribution towards the growth of the organization.
“We pray that the Almighty God will grant his gentle soul a peaceful repose and give the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“Our thoughts and best wishes go out to the entire family. Please, accept our sincere sympathy.”
Meanwhile, staff of IBEDC in Osun State have penned tribute messages to the late Adebayo.
Business Hub Manager Osogbo, Mr Babatunde Abdulraheem, said the late Adebayo was someone he looked up to and eager to learn from at all times.
He said, “Baba Abbey, as my family used to call him, our coordinator right from our time as enumerator; though you were my colleague, I always looked up to you, always eager to learn from you. You were my role model. I so much respect you, your being, your life, and your knowledge. Who are we to question the Almighty Allah, Rest On Baba Abbey. Inna lilahi wa Ina ilaihi Rojun.”

For Mr Johnson Tinuoye, Chief Key Account Officer, Adeboye’s death is a great loss to IBEDC.
“What a sad loss; very energetic, articulate, and well grounded. This is a great loss to IBEDC. May God grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss. Rest in Peace,” he said.
The Regional Head, Ibadan Region, Mr Olufayo Oluwasogo, said the deceased was a goal-getter with humility.
He said, “Your sudden departure without any notice or sign remains a shock. I am yet to recover from it. A goal-getter, passionate with assigned tasks, full of knowledge and humility. IBEDC, as a whole, will surely miss you. Keep resting in peace in Jesus’ name.”
Mrs. Opoola Basirat, Head Billing Operations, said, “You gave us hope in Osun, surely your contributions to the development will forever be appreciated. You will definitely be missed. May Allah accept your soul and bless you with Janatul- Firdaus”.
“Your support and contribution to my life during my stay in Ota will forever be remembered. You lived a life worthy of emulation and all the lives you touched will not forget you. Rest on, dear brother, till we meet to part no more. Adieu,” Olusoji Ayandokun wrote.
The Regional Head, Kwara Region, Mr Oluwatoyin Akinyosoye, in his tribute message, said, “It is well in Jesus name. May the Good Lord console the family you left behind and give them the grace and fortitude to bear the loss in Jesus’ name”.
Engr Folaranmi Kazeem, Technical Engineer, Ilesa, said, “It saddened the earth hearing the news of your demise, a promising man in his glowing stage. But the will of God shall come to pass. I pray to God Almighty to welcome your soul to paradise.”
