There was trouble on Monday morning at Omole Estate, Modakeke area in Ife-East local government of Osun State, as a man had intercourse with a sex worker and refused to pay her money.
It was learnt that the young man identified as ‘Esejawo’ was said to have negotiated with the prostitute for a short time sex in a room located in the area, and they both settled for N10,000.
According to Mr. Tunde Olonade, a community leader who witnessed the incident, the crisis started when the man refused to pay her after the intercourse.
While speaking with our correspondent, an eyewitness who craved anonymity said, “What truly happened is that the young man had sex with the prostitute around 12 am. After the sex, the man told the prostitute that he wanted to have a bath beside the house.
“When it was around 12:45 am that the prostitute didn’t see the man, she began to call his number but didn’t pick up till 7 am.
“Thereafter, the prostitute called for his colleagues, and they looked for the man in the community. Immediately, the prostitute saw the man, she slapped him and raised the alarm by calling him a thief, which made the residents of the community come outside and rescue the situation.”
However, at the time of filing the report, the residents and community leaders have intervened in the matter and normalcy has returned.
