Trump Serious About Defending Christians in Nigeria — Riley Moore
A United States Congressman, Rep. Riley Moore, has reaffirmed the commitment of President Donald Trump to protecting the lives of Christians in Nigeria, following the president’s warning of possible military action if attacks on Christian communities persist.
Moore made the remark in a post on his verified X handle on Friday.
He was reacting to President Trump’s recent warning that the United States could carry out additional military strikes in Nigeria if violence against Christian communities continues.
Osun Defender reports that Trump had earlier issued a stern warning, stressing that the US would not hesitate to act if the attacks persist.
“President Trump is serious about his steadfast support to protecting our brothers and sisters in Christ who continue to face persecution in Nigeria. Do not test Trump’s resolve,” Moore wrote.
Reacting to Moore’s post, an X user identified as @HamzatAyodejiO2 expressed cautious support for any foreign intervention.
“As a lover and advocate for peace in Nigeria, we shall be glad to have the US genuine intervention and not in disguise for extortion or breach of peace in religion, ethnicity of the Nigeria people! Nigeria is a sane nation with conscious and intellectually upright citizens,” the user wrote.
