Ideas come from thought process. Thought is the only power which can make things seemingly impossible to be possible. Nearly all things in use today in advance technology were first in the realm of thought which later take physical form. Those thought processes of yesteryears which we referred to as science fiction and which were the thoughts of certain individuals later put into action by them or some other people, are our physical reality today.
Just look at any substance you find around you: cars, houses, clothes, shoes, aircraft, fans and air-conditioners, computers etc were initially in thought form of certain individuals or group of individuals. It will amaze you if I say that your being today arises from some individuals, both of your parents first as separate entities who thought of getting married, who actually got married. They thought of making children and it later took form, which today is you. The thought of a house of a certain construction, if it were impressed upon Formless Substance, might not cause the instant formation of the house; but it would cause the turning of creative energies already working in trade and commerce into such channels as to result in the speedy building of the house. This is a typical example of how things are formed from the formless thought process to its physical being.
According to Wattles Wallace, THOUGHT is the only power which can produce tangible riches from the Formless Substance. The stuff from which all things are made is a substance which thinks, and a thought of form in this substance produces the form. He went further to say that Original Substance moves according to its thoughts; every form and process you see in nature is the visible expression of a thought in Original Substance. As the Formless Stuff thinks of a form, it takes that form; as it thinks of a motion, it makes that motion. That is the way all things were created. We live in a thought world, which is part of a thought universe.
A nation can only develop if and only her populace is engaged in constructive thoughts. We live in an age of rapid development and it is only those who can think critically and positively that will survive and be truly independent. It is an age-long cliché that brain is superior to brawl, even in the race of survival of the fittest.
Our daily lives need to reflect a deep thinking population. We need to start to revolutionise our thought process towards developing the complete man and woman. This is the only way our state and nation could join other nations in the race towards rapid development. It is sad that we have a population of youths who are easily swayed towards the mundane. Thinking is a very rare commodity in this part of the word, especially among the black race. We are oftentimes too satisfied with the status quo, no matter how lowly. We accept the worst as our destiny, which we oftentimes think we are incapable of changing. But the reality is that nothing created that cannot not be changed or improved upon. Our religious houses need to start to preach developing the human mind, not enslavement which we have today. What we sadly have now are religious institutions averse to changing how we think.
The bitter truth is that if we don’t think, we can’t develop. The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, was being sincere but highly misunderstood when he referred to the youth as sitting down, doing nothing. Doing nothing includes not thinking enough to change our condition. Thinking to change condition of things for the better will most times trigger action. Thinking is the base which is followed by positive action.
