TVG Decries Plot To Tarnish Tinubu’s Reputation Ahead 2023

A polical group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) Tinubu Victory Group, TVG Osun State chapter, has condemned the defamation plot by unidentified political leaders trying to ascribe Tuesday’s shooting at Lekki to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC is touted to run for the Presidency of Nigeria come 2023.

TVG Osun stated this in a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Group, Alhaji Ganiyu Gbadamosi Jope in Osogbo on Wednesday and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement “We do not know when Tinubu became the Chief of Army Staff, we understand that this is a grand conspiracy against Tinubu to spoil his good image.”

He stressed further that people who are pointing fingers on him for sponsoring the #EndSARS protests in South West are also the one alleging him of ordering the shooting at the Lekki Toll Gate.

He added that “There’s no amount of propaganda that can bring him down. TVG will always support him and his ambition whenever he declares.

“We pray that the souls of lives lost in the struggle to rest in peace.”

The group also called for calm, urging the protesting to continue to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner warning that they should avoid miscreants from hijacking their protest.

“All attacks launched by suspected hoodlums on government-owned and private property across the country are condemned in totality ” TVG said.
