Two female children were confirmed dead in a road accident that occurred along Ilesa/Akure Expressway on Sunday.
OSUN DEFENDER gathered that four other passengers were also injured in the crash.
It was learnt that the accident, which involved a truck and a Nissan Premia car, was said to have been caused by speeding and wrongful overtaking.
Spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun Sector Command, Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the accident.
Ogungbemi said, “Two vehicles were involved and the probable cause of the accident include; tyre burst, speed limit violation and wrongful overtaking.
“Four people – one male adult, three female children were injured, two female children died in the crash. Injured victims were taken to Wesley Guild Hosptial Ilesa, while remains of the deceased were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.”
