The Osun State police have charged Abioye Saheed, 24 and Apantaku Kayode, 29 to an Osogbo Magistrate Court on over alleged housebreaking and stealing.
The charge sheet reads that the accused persons on 13th day of March, 2018 at 12, Adedapo Oyinlola street, Eleyele estate, Osogbo, did conspire together to commit housebreaking and stealing which is an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516 of Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2003.
The items carted away by the accused persons according to the charge sheet include; one Nokia phone valued N10, 000, one Star time decoder valued N7, 000, one kenwood compact disc player valued N11, 000, N500, one Samsung Plasma television valued N55, 000 and some quality of raw food stuff valued N10, 000, property belonging to one Alhaji Sanusi Akinlabi.
The Police prosecutor, Inspector Adegoke Taiwo told the court that parts of the items were recovered in the possession of the accused persons by tracking the Star time decoder.
He added that the case of housebreaking and stealing is becoming rampant within the community as he prays the court to use the culprits as a scapegoat to serve as a deterrent to others.
The accused persons with no legal representation are facing three-count charge bothering on housebreaking and stealing, but pleaded guilty to each count charge.
The magistrate F. A. Sodamade however grants the bail of the accused persons with sum of N200, 000 and one surety.
The case was thereby adjourned till Monday 16th April, 2018.
