Two Persons In Prison Over Alleged Robbery In Osun

The Police in Osun on Monday, March 26, 2018 has arraigned two men Kehinde Michael, 63 and Adeola Yisa, 58, before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo over alleged armed robbery.
The suspects have been remanded in prison custody.
The suspects appeared before the court on a four-count charge bothering on felony, conspiracy and armed robbery.
The prosecutor, Inspector Mustapha Tajudeen said the duo committed the offence on December 13, 2017 at Aduramigba area, Ido-Osun in Osogbo.
He added that the duo armed themselves with guns and dangerous weapons and robbed one Olufemi Ayoade of his Toyota Corolla with REG number AAA 405 BV
He explained further that the suspects received nine stolen Toyota Camry, four Toyota Corolla cars, two Honda Accord cars, one Honda CRV and one suzuki car from Kehinde Badmus, Adeleke Timothy, Akoodu Femi Rufus and Adenle Olusola Babatunde.
He also told the court that the offences are contrary to section of 6(b) and punishable under section 1(1), (2)(a)(b) of the robbery and fire Arms laws of the Federation of Nigeria and section 516 of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2002.
The plea of the defendants were not taken and they were represented by their counsel Mr Tunbosun Oladipo.
The Magistrate, F.A Sodamade ordered that the suspects should be remanded in Ilesha prison custody.
She then adjourned the case to March, 28 for mention at court 3 in Osogbo.
