A two-storey building on Thursday morning, collapsed in the Isale Eko area of Lagos State.
The incident has caused fear and alarm among residents of the area with sources saying many people are trapped in the building.
The integrity of the building is said to have been compromised following a fire in parts of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, said the fire seriously impacted 14 other buildings.
He said emergency responders at the scene of the event included NEMA, Federal and State Fire Services, the Nigeria Police, and the fire service of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
